Things I am missing:
- The subway (when it comes)
- good iced coffee at a good price (come Sept, first stop Chambers/Church Street bodega)
- pizza (though Spinato's helps but in a totally different way)
- Mom and Pop restaurants (never ever ate at chains there)
- our Central Park
- Mani/pedi at dirt cheap prices
- eyebrow threading on most corners (this really deserves to move up to the top)
- our evening walks along the Hudson
- walking (when not freezing or humid)
- JG Melon's
- Magnolia
- lovely paper stores
- SoHo
- Our rent
- cold
- humidity
- not having the freedom to get in the car and go
- storing my belongings under my bed
- packing away summer/winter clothes
- Target being a road trip
- Times Square
- my old job
- Paying a 50% island surcharge on most things
Our daughter will experience NYC 6 weeks after she is born and then again when she is about 11 weeks old. We plan to spend at least 2 x a year in NYC and hope she will love the city like we do. Our secret plan is she'll love it, get into NYU and we'll have an 'excuse' to spend our time in the city all the time. Saying that ensures her to be a hippy girl who wants to live in a forest.
