Do you know where your children are?

This weekend Mr. Cookie and I did know where our children were and they were not with us. Saturday I spent the day at the Camelback Inn spa with April getting massaged and wrapped into a state of bliss. I started with an hour massage, stopped for a lovely little lunch and ended with a honey nectar wrap.

On Sunday, Ava went to Grandma's and Violet went to Aunt Danielle's. Mr. Cookie and I arrived back at the Camelback Inn for a 10:30 brunch. 5 others awaited us for a happy day of food and champagne. We ate and we ate and we ate. We drank and we drank. I had: shrimp, crab, a variety of cheese, fruit, bread, ahi tuna, cheese blintz, pancakes made to order with m&m's and blueberries, made to order waffle, custard with fruit, crabcake, carrots, asparagus, grilled yellow peppers, hummus, lady finger, creme brulee...to name a little. For drinks I had a bloody mary, a million glasses of champagne and a guava colada. Now I realize why my Wii Fit spoke to me so rudely this morning.

It was a great group of people, after our 5 hour brunch we all hung out by the fire and eventually retired to our casitas for the night. It has been a VERY long time since Brian and I have had no children to worry about.

It was a fantastic weekend.

I love the Camelback Inn. Last time I had some Sonoran Rain Bath thing. Bliss! That brunch would have literally killed me.
